Jan 8: Jan Joy Dare ( this one is about church)

Today's challenge is:  light that caught you, a reflection that surprised you, a shadow that fell lovely.

I'm going to be honest with you. I understand the reflection one but not the other two.  I like to think that I can be pretty deep about some things and well, I can, but I'm stuck here so I will pick my own three
( because I can and there is no real rules here ). Tee hee

Three things at church that brought me joy:  It's been a few weeks since we have been there and so I'll start there.

22.  It was so nice to come home today.  I honestly felt that when I saw my church family today that I had come home.  It was awesome.

23.  My youngest son Danny will be 12 in Feb and he is the helper at Children's Church.  They usually pray for the kids before they go off to their class and the teacher said that Danny would pray for them today.  He was so caught off guard.     But that boy went to the microphone and said a short little prayer.  I don't remember the exact words but he talked about the kids spreading God's grace.  You know, I felt it was a pretty mature prayer and good for Danny...he is like me when it comes to situations like that.  I'm sure ( I know ) he was freaking out inside but he did it.  God Bless my little man.  He is definitely growing up. *** sniff sniff ***

24.  For the first time since we have been attending this church, we had Communion with our church family.   It was beautiful and, in my opinion, is worthy of it's own post which hopefully will come this week.

To finish up, I'm buckling down in practicing my Spanish.  I'm being taught Spanish by a man in our church.  We usually take a little time after church for a little lesson.  So, while my kids get back to the books this week, so then will I.  My other Spanish goal is to learn the song Mighty to Save ( in Spanish) by heart in two weeks ( well, maybe three ).  On that note:

God Bless you my friends and thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog!!!
